Dr. Kathleen S. Lowney is Professor of Sociology at Valdosta State University and Fellow-in-Residence at Valdosta State’s IDEA Center (Innovative Designs for Enhancing the Academy). She specializes in teaching large-section Introduction to Sociology courses, and has published nearly thirty manuscripts on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
